HeritageDaily chooses Soldier On! to be the publishing company’s charity of choice.

Heritage Daily is a leading and global on-line science, research and publishing news service covering a range of topics across the scientific spectrum.

www.heritagedaily.com was launched in 2011 and has grown to become one of the most recognised brands in archaeology and a major voice across the scientific community.  They publish on past sciences, geo-sciences and general science, with a core focus on the disciplines of archaeology, palaeontology and palaeoanthropology.

Markus, HeritageDaily’s Managing Editor said:

“We are proud to be supporting Soldier On!  The charity works tirelessly in collaboration with universities and heritage groups to provide opportunities for disadvantaged people to participate in heritage- based projects.  Their members include people who are vulnerable due to age, ill health, disability, financial hardship or other disadvantage.”

Members are also given the opportunity to participate in a personal development workshop.  This education helps people to rebuild their self-esteem, confidence and well-being and to use the projects as a means to secure future opportunities within education, volunteering or employment.

HeritageDaily will post Soldier On!  news and would like readers to consider helping the charity with its fundraising efforts or to arrange collaborative opportunities with your own projects.  They need to raise £40,000 minimum per year to run the heritage projects.  Subject to funding, they have secured Second World War, Roman, Mediaeval and Civil War projects.

Funds raised pays for participants’ food, accommodation, travel, tools, insurance, surveys and records. Staff are all volunteers and no salaries are paid.
